Volunteers needed for girls’ conference

Women volunteers are urgently needed to serve as campus guides for hundreds of attendees of the 21st annual Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) conference Friday, Sept. 23, at Missouri S&T.
Female faculty, staff, students and community members are encouraged to volunteer. Guiding a group is a great way to contribute to the students’ experience while on campus. The hours are 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and lunch is provided. Volunteers will also get a free EYH T-shirt.
Sign up to volunteer as a guide by Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Expanding Your Horizons helps seventh- and eighth-grade girls learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and math fields, while providing them access to S&T facilities and inspirational students, faculty and staff. The EYH event brings 500 students to campus.
