- In an Al-Monitor article about three filmmakers arrested on charges of propaganda against the Iranian government, Dr. Mehrzad Boroujerdi, dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education, discussed the attack on political free speech in Iran. Reporter Kourosh Ziabari wrote the article, titled “Iranian government intensifies crackdown,” which was published on Aug. 15.
- Dr. Hank Pernicka, professor of aerospace engineering, shared his expertise with Newsweek for a news story about the discarded hardware from the Apollo program as NASA prepares to launch Artemis I, the first step in the Artemis program to return astronauts to the moon. The story, “NASA Discarded Hardware from Apollo Missions to the Moon,” was published Sept. 2.
