Passing of Bill Stoltz

William Thomas “Bill” Stoltz, the husband of Mary Helen Stoltz, editorial director in marketing and communications, died Monday, Aug. 22, at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He was 50.
He served as Phelps County assessor, having been elected to the position in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. He studied English and history at S&T and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was selected as an Honorary Knight of St. Patrick in 2019. He also often served as a driver for new Honorary Knights in the annual St. Pat’s Parade and was active in the Rolla Lions Club.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Null & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Friends of Kids with Cancer or Give Kids the World.
