Nominations sought for faculty awards

All Missouri S&T students, faculty, staff and administrators are invited to nominate faculty for S&T faculty awards by Friday, Oct. 14.
The five awards are:
- Faculty Excellence Award
- Faculty Research Award
- Faculty Service Award
- Faculty Teaching Award
- Faculty Achievement Award
Visit the provost’s website for more information. To submit a nomination, complete the Google Form and upload the nomination materials as one PDF file.
In keeping with S&T’s commitment to evaluate teaching effectiveness on a more holistic basis, teaching awards will no longer be given out based solely on scores for the “overall effectiveness” item on our student evaluation of teaching survey. Instead, effective teachers will be recognized based on a narrative supported by a variety of evidence of teaching effectiveness, which includes student evaluation of teaching scores, but is not limited to them.
