Fitness Center policies are designed to protect Fitness Center users, facilities, and staff. Failure to comply with the following rules may result in loss of privileges.

A Miner ID card must be presented for entry into the facility. Privileges are non-transferrable. Using another individual’s card to gain access to the facility may result in discipline up to suspension or revocation of membership.

Patrons are reminded to be consistently mindful of safety. All exercise is at one’s own risk and should be done with proper approval from a physician or qualified entity.

Report any injury immediately to the Fitness Center staff.

Appropriate work-out attire is required. No sandals, boots, or bare feet.

Personal items may be stored in the cubies provided throughout the facility. Missouri S&T is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Do not put dumbbells or weights on upholstered benches or step on them.

Collars are highly recommended when lifting free weights.

Drinks must be in closed containers. No food is allowed in the facility.

Always be courteous and respectful to others:

Allow others to work-in or take turns on equipment. Maximum of 30-minutes on all cardio equipment when others are waiting.
Wipe down equipment after use. Towels are available for check-out at the service counter.
Do not drop or slam weights on the floor and keep weights away from mirrors.
Plates and dumbbells must be returned to the proper racks. Please do not leave weights or bars on the floor.
Dirty towels should be returned to the proper bins.
Profanity and loud or disrespectful language or noise will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the facility.

Please direct all questions, concerns, and maintenance needs to the Fitness Center staff or by contacting Andy Scholl, the Fitness Center Manager at or call (573) 341-7594.
