Two S&T departments within the provost’s office will change their names on Thursday, Sept. 1, to better reflect the departments’ services.
Corporate and professional education will become educational innovation. The department, led by Dr. Beth Concepción, vice provost of educational innovation, includes the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE).
Academic support will become undergraduate education. Dr. Daniel Reardon, interim vice provost for undergraduate education, leads the department. It includes several programs focused on student success, including Opportunities for Undergraduate Research Experiences (OURE), the Honors Program, Learning Enhancements Across Disciplines (LEAD), Hit the Ground Running, the S&T Advising Center, the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center, the Student Success Center, the Student Veterans Resource Center and the Writing Center.
