Nancy Stone named chair at Middle Tennessee State University

Dr. Nancy Stone, professor of psychological science and special assistant to the provost for analytics, planning and assessment, is leaving S&T to become chair of psychology at Middle Tennessee State University, a public university in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Her appointment at MTSU begins Aug. 1.
Stone joined the Missouri S&T faculty in 2008 as chair of psychological science. In that role, she was instrumental in the creation of Missouri S&T’s master’s program in industrial-organizational psychology.
Prior to joining S&T, Stone taught in the psychology department at Creighton University. She also served as assistant professor of psychology and mental health at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
