Dr. Clair Kueny has been named interim chair of psychological science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her appointment began Friday, July 1.
Kueny takes over the position from Dr. Susan Murray, who was recently named acting vice provost and dean of the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development.
Kueny is an assistant professor of psychological science at Missouri S&T, where she teaches course in industrial-organizational psychology. In addition to teaching courses in the department, she researches employee discretionary behaviors including initiative, citizenship behaviors, and counterproductive work behaviors and the unintended consequences and ripple effects of these behaviors, and applying organizational theories to improve healthcare organizations and to improve healthcare professional work experiences.
Kueny joined the S&T full-time faculty in 2016. She earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and political science at Truman State University in 2012, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Saint Louis University in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
