Services planned for Neil Walters

The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Garnett “Neil” Walters, retired laborer supervisor. He passed away Wednesday, May 25. He was 59. A visitation for family and friends will be held 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, and the funeral service will follow at the Church of the Nazarene in Rolla. The public is invited to attend a Southern Gospel Music Celebration in honor of Walters, featuring the Covenant Quartet, Singing Disciples, and Heritage Boys, at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Church of the Nazarene in Rolla.
Walters joined S&T in 1989 as a groundskeeper. He was promoted to a laborer and then laborer supervisor. He resigned in October 2021 for health reasons.
