Amy McMillen, interim director of the S&T Advising Center, has been named director of the center. She officially begins this role today, Wednesday, June 1, and she will report to Kathryn Northcut, vice provost of academic support.
McMillen will oversee a team of academic advisors and office staff to provide academic advising services to 1,400 first-year engineering and computer science students. She will direct and facilitate the On-Track Academic Success Program, including leading peer mentors in developing presentations.
McMillen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College and a master’s degree in technical communication from Missouri S&T. She is currently taking courses towards a graduate certificate in management and leadership at Missouri S&T.
