Missouri S&T’s Graduate Faculty has announced the winners of its annual awards.

The nominees for the Outstanding Contributions to Graduate Studies Award were:

• Dr. Islam El-adaway, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering
• Dr. Serhat Hosder, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering
• Dr. Catherine Johnson, associate professor of mining and explosives engineering
• Dr. Fateme Rezaei, associate professor of chemical and biochemical engineering
• Dr. Pourya Shamsi, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering
• Dr. Jee-Ching Wang, associate professor of chemical and biochemical engineering.

The winner is Dr. Serhat Hosder.

The nominee and winner of the Graduate Staff Excellence Award is:

• Karen Walberg, office support assistant for mechanical and aerospace engineering.

The award winners received a plaque and gift card. The nominees received a certificate to honor their contributions.
