Enke named interim chair of EMSE

Dr. David Enke, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of engineering management and systems engineering (EMSE), has accepted the role of interim EMSE chair. The appointment is effective July 1, the same day the department joins the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development.
Enke is an S&T alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in engineering management from Missouri S&T. He served on the EMSE faculty from 2000 to 2007 and returned to Missouri S&T as professor and chair of the EMSE department in 2012. Between 2007 and 2012, he served as the H. Michael and Laurie Krimbill Faculty Fellow of Finance and chair of finance and operations management at The University of Tulsa. Enke was employed for six years by the McDonnell Douglas Corp. (Boeing) prior to his graduate studies.
