Several Missouri S&T students participated in the 2022 American Nuclear Society student conference at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, April 14-16.
Nuclear engineering and radiation science students competed in seven tracks and won four awards:
- Jack Fletcher, a senior in nuclear engineering, earned best undergraduate presentation for fusion energy and plasma
- Eli Boland, a Ph.D. student in nuclear engineering, earned best graduate presentation for reactor physics
- Cole Kostelac, a master’s student in nuclear engineering, earned best graduate presentation for nuclear criticality safety
- Jordan Fox, a Ph.D. student in nuclear engineering, earned best graduate poster.
S&T sent 25 undergraduates and seven graduates to the conference. S&T won top honors in one of two undergraduate tracks and three of five graduate tracks.
