Latesha Zach

For Latesha Zach, it’s the people she works with that she enjoys most about working at S&T. As a fiscal manager and lead of the Fiscal Service Center team in the College of Engineering and Computing, she manages the fiscal operations and provides financial oversight to CEC’s academic departments.

Latesha is most proud of establishing the CEC service centers in 2021, which she co-led with Ashley Newton, senior business support specialist of the Business Support Service Center.

After graduating in 2011, Latesha began working at S&T as an event registration support staff member in professional and continuing education. She was promoted to program coordinator in 2013 and in 2016 her duties shifted to financial management for the department. In 2018, she took on assisting the global learning division with financial management and in 2019 she became the fiscal manager for CEC.

Outside of work, Latesha spends her time keeping up with her two sons and crafting with her new Silhouette Cameo that she received for Christmas from her husband.

Latesha at a glance

Hometown: Iberia, Missouri

Education: Bachelor’s degrees in economics and business and management systems from Missouri S&T

Advice to other S&T employees: “Always be mindful of the unknown struggles of those we work with,” Latesha says. “Giving grace can be easy to forget when we get busy but it can be monumental to those that are under pressure.”

Favorite S&T memory: “It’s hard to choose just one so I’ll just say the fun we had in professional and continuing education and global learning,” she says. “I was just a ‘kid’ fresh out of college when I started, and I owe a lot to those women who helped train me to be the professional I am today.”

Family: Husband, Alex, and sons Connor, 6, and Raylan, 3.
