Celebration of Life planned for Dr. Don Madison

The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Don Madison, retired Curators’ Distinguished Professor emeritus of physics. He passed away Saturday, May 14, at age 77. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Don and Lina’s garden, located at 400 Lariat Lane in Rolla.
Madison joined the S&T physics department in 1988 and retired in 2019. His career included 218 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 130 invited talks and countless contributions to international conferences. He also earned many awards and honors for his outstanding research and teaching.
