Yang named Outstanding Referee

Dr. Xiaodong Yang, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, was named an Outstanding Referee by the American Physical Society (APS). The lifetime award recognizes scientists who are exceptionally helpful in assessing manuscripts for publication in APS journals. Of 82,000 active referees, about 150 each year are recognized as Outstanding Referees.

Yang joins other APS Outstanding Referees from Missouri S&T:

  • Dr. Thomas Vojta, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of physics, won in 2021.
  • Dr. Robert D. DuBois, professor emeritus of physics, won in 2019.
  • Dr. Michael Schulz, Chancellor’s Professor and Curators’ Professor emeritus of physics, won in 2013.
  • Dr. Ulrich Jentschura, professor of physics, won in 2010.
