Oboh-Ikuenobe appointed to NSF advisory committee

Dr. Francisca Oboh-Ikuenobe, associate dean for academic affair in S&T’s College of Engineering and Computing, has been appointed to the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Advisory Committee for Geosciences. Oboh-Ikuenobe is a professor of geology and geophysics in the geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering department. Her three-year term began Jan. 1.

The NSF Advisory Committee for Geosciences oversees support for the NSF’s geosciences research and education portfolio and informs NSF of the impact of grants and policies on the scientific community. It also provides guidance on initiatives, partnership opportunities and long-range plans and oversees management, finances and other aspects of program performance.
