Missouri S&T’s Faculty Senate and Staff Council invite you to participate in a survey for faculty and staff. The survey opens today, Friday, April 15, and will run through Saturday, April 30. This survey is an effort to better understand and address faculty and staff experiences. Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated and the results will directly inform whether and what steps should be taken to address concerns related to faculty and staff work experiences as well as successful efforts on campus that can be strengthened.

You can access the survey here.

This anonymous Qualtrics survey is expected to take up to 15 minutes to complete. No questions ask for specific, identifying information (e.g., name, contact information), and IP addresses and email addresses are blocked. However, we do ask for some demographic information to better target and understand potential differences in experiences across campus. If you are uncomfortable answering the demographic questions, you may select “Prefer Not to Respond” for any demographic questions you do not wish to answer.

The Faculty and Staff Climate Survey is endorsed by a vote of the Faculty Senate and Staff Council. This survey was developed by an ad hoc committee led by Dr. Kelly Homan, president of Faculty Senate and associate professor of mechanical engineering. In addition to Homan, the committee includes Megan Fowler, president of Staff Council and business support specialist for the College of Engineering and Computing; Dr. Dave Westenberg, chair of the Personnel Committee and professor of biological sciences; Dr. Devin Burns, associate professor of psychological science; and Dr. Clair Kueny, assistant professor of psychological science.

The initial results of this climate survey will be presented at the June meetings of Faculty Senate and Staff Council.
