Patent granted for conformance control research

A U.S. patent for “Re-crosslinking particle gel for CO2 conformance control and CO2 leakage blocking” has been awarded to the Curators of the University of Missouri from Missouri S&T inventors:
- Dr. Baojun Bai, Lester R. Birbeck Endowed Professor of Petroleum Engineering
- Dr. Thomas Schuman, professor of chemistry
- Dr. Yifu Long, a 2021 Missouri S&T petroleum engineering graduate
This patent and a previous patent awarded last November are related technologies developed for conformance control in oilfields.
