Oerther appointed trustee of sanitarians academy

Dr. Daniel B. Oerther, professor of environmental health engineering, has been appointed a trustee of the American Academy of Sanitarians.
Founded in 1956, the academy elevates the standards, improving the practice, advancing the professional proficiency and promoting ethical conduct among professional sanitarians in every field of environmental health.
As a trustee, Oerther shares joint responsibility for governance and fiduciary management of the academy, which includes providing leadership to nearly 750 diplomates of sanitary practice who have responsibility to protect the public from threats to environmental health.
