Who is eligible?
Any male or female wanting to be our very own, Joe Miner! While some mascot experience is helpful, we have no minimum experience requirements. You must be a full-time student and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
What is the time commitment?
- Summer Mascot Camp is a 3-day event scheduled for late July and is mandatory
- Appearances during Freshman Orientation week ceremonies. Schedules will be adjusted not to interfere with other Freshman activities
- Regular season consists of appearing at all home football and men’s basketball games. Football season is usually 5 or 6 Saturdays in the fall. Basketball games are typically on Thursdays and Saturdays beginning in November and continuing through mid-March with about 15 game nights total.
- Appearances during Graduation ceremonies both in the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Additional athletic and student events on campus may be required to support many community events as the face of the university.
- A trip to Missouri’s Capitol with the Miner Athletics Department.
