International association honors civil engineering Ph.D. students

Two Ph.D. students in civil, architectural and environmental engineering recently won awards from the International Association of Chinese Infrastructure Professionals (IACIP).

The association’s student poster contest at the 12th annual IACIP workshop was held online in January. The winning students and their posters are:

  • First-place poster: “Impacts of lightweight aggregates ACEs on thermal performance in Alaska permafrost regions” by Hanli Wu
  • Second-place poster: “Feasibility study on foamed fire-resistant coating materials” by Anyou Zhu

Wu also received the third-place IACIP Outstanding Graduate Student Award for his outstanding academic performance and scholarly activities.
