If you are struggling to get prepared for this semester or experiencing mental health concerns, don’t wait to reach out for help until it feels too overwhelming. Student Well-Being offers brief, solution-focused individual counseling with a licensed counselor in a completely confidential and safe environment. There is little to no wait time to get screened and meet with a counselor. The department also offers group counseling for a variety of topics, such as anxiety, PTSD/safety, LGBTQ+, ADHD, family concerns, healthy relationships, and more. Sessions can be in person or virtual. If you are struggling, you are not alone. Student Well-Being cares about your mental health and is here to support you in any way that we can.
Besides counseling, there are many other resources available to get health and wellness assistance, such as wellness consultations (for concerns such as nutrition, nicotine cessation, substance use, and more) and student-led mental health organizations (such as ProjectConnect and Miner Support Network).
