Santa had a little help this year from four S&T fraternities and University Police. Members of the Tau Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Tau Gamma, Kappa Sigma and Sigma Pi fraternities and police officers joined forces to adopt three local families for the holidays. The group raised nearly $3,000 to purchase gifts for the children and gift cards for the parents. The families, fraternity members and police officers gathered at the TKE house on De. 11 for a holiday meal together and to present gifts to the three families.

Oscar Kemp, assistant chief of police at S&T, thanks everyone who helped bring a little seasonal magic to families in need. He thanks everyone who made contributions, including:

  • Dr. Diana Ahmad, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of history and political science
  • Alysha O’Neil, vice chancellor for finance and operations
  • Joni Burch, associate director of student support services
  • Rolla Central Communications
