Resources available for mental health

If you or anyone you know is contemplating suicide, struggling to cope with daily stresses or experiencing any other mental health concerns, resources are available to all members of the Missouri S&T community.

For assistance 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, students may contact student well-being at 573-341-4211 or visit Room 204 Norwood Hall. You may also contact care management at 573-341-4209 or visit Room 107 Norwood Hall. Click here for additional details.

Faculty and staff may seek services via the UM System’s Employee Assistance Program, reachable by phone at 833-515-0754/TTY 800-697-0353.

If you experience mental health concerns outside of university hours, the following resources are available 24/7:

  • For emergencies that pose dangers to your own life or someone else’s, dial 911 or call University Police at 573-341-4300
  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741-741
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 800-273-8255
  • Compass Health Hotline: 800-833-3915
  • Phelps Health Emergency Department, 573-458-8899, located at 1000 W. 10th St.
