The University Wind Symphony is looking for musicians for the Spring 2022 semester. The ensemble meets MWF 12-12:50 p.m. and will perform three concerts during the semester (February 27, April 10, and April 27). Our major work for the semester will be Johan de Meij’s Symphony No.  1 “The Lord of the Rings.” For this work we are in special need of players with experience in oboe and/or English horn, but all brass, woodwind and percussion players are encouraged to join.

In order to participate in the spring Wind Symphony you must complete an audition which will be held on November 16, 2021 starting at 4:30 p.m. Please visit https://alp.mst.edu/music/auditions/ for audition materials and instructions. There are sign-up sheets in Castleman Hall outside the Performing Arts Office (entrance at 11th and State St. across from the Chancellor’s Residence) for you to reserve your audition time.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. David Samson at samsondw@mst.edu.
