Dr. Margaret Martonosi, assistant director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) directorate, will present as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series Monday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m., on Zoom. Use passcode 1234.
Since February 2020, Martonosi has ledthe CISE directorate’s $1 billion annual budget on behalf of research, education, workforce and infrastructure funding in CISE topic areas and for science overall. She is conducting a series of virtual campus visits to discuss the vision for CISE research in the future. While at NSF, Martonosi is on leave from Princeton University, where she is the Hugh Trumball Adams ’35 Professor of Computer Science.
The lecture is presented jointly by computer science and the office of the vice chancellor for research and innovation.
