As the university’s longest-running tradition, St. Pat’s is a subject for discussion, analysis and commemoration during the university’s 150th anniversary celebration. Catch today’s event, “St. Pat’s Panel Discussion: What the ‘Best Ever’ Celebration Has Meant to S&T and Beyond,” at 3 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 14) in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center or via Zoom at https://umsystem.zoom.us/j/96270450421#success.

Moderated by Dr. Patrick Huber, professor of history, the panel will feature:

  • Dr. Simon J. Bronner, former Maxwell C. Weiner Visiting Distinguished Professor of Humanities at S&T and author of Campus Traditions: Folklore from the Old-Time College to the Modern Mega-University
  • Dr. Larry Gragg, S&T Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor emeritus of history and political science and author of Forged in Gold: Missouri S&T’s First 150 Years
  • Debra Griffith, S&T archives librarian
  • Dr. Jeff Schramm, S&T associate professor of history and current St. Pat’s Board advisor.
