RSVP for Oct. 5 Service Learning Symposium

You are invited to Missouri S&T’s Service Learning Symposium 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5. This is a great opportunity for faculty, staff, students and community partners to engage in meaningful conversations about the importance of service learning.

Misty Kay Campbell, the event’s keynote speaker, will discuss creating meaningful community-student learning opportunities. Campbell is an assistant teaching professor and community engagement director at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. A community leader, she is dedicated to long-term relationship building and helping people translate their passions into tangible community benefits that are rooted in empirically driven practices.

Dr. Anne-Marie Foley, director of service learning at the University of Missouri-Columbia, will speak about campuswide community-engaged learning and how it can happen on our campus.
