Missouri S&T encourages all students to be fully vaccinated prior to returning to campus. Vaccination against COVID-19 is the most effective way to protect yourself and others from the virus. While vaccinations are not required, every student moving into the residence halls must meet one of the following four criteria below prior to being allowed to check in:
Students are considered fully vaccinated if at least two weeks have passed since receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two weeks after the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Students may voluntarily disclose their vaccination status prior to check-in by submitting a photo of their vaccination card to the S&T Student Health Portal by Monday, Aug. 9, or by providing printed documentation during move-in screening.
Students who provide their vaccination information will have an opportunity to register for prizes through the student vaccination incentive program.
2. You have been diagnosed with and recovered from COVID-19 within 90 days of check-in
If you were diagnosed with COVID-19 within 90 days of check-in, you must present proof at check-in. The university will accept either a dated copy of the positive test result OR a dated copy of the isolation release letter from your local public health department. Documentation must include:
3. You have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arrival
You are encouraged to get tested prior to your arrival. Bring documentation of your test results with you at check-in. Documentation must meet specific criteria, including:
4. You will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival to check-in
Anyone not meeting the criteria above will be tested by the university as part of the move-in process at no cost to the student. Upon arrival, you will be directed to an area for testing. This may delay your move-in process. Our staff will expedite the testing but please anticipate delays and expect 30-60 minutes for testing.
Additional information about the move-in process is available from the residential life department at the Miner Move-In website. Further information about Missouri S&T’s response to COVID-19 is available at coronavirus.mst.edu. Specific questions regarding the required documentation should be directed to covid@mst.edu.
