Cathie Eikermann is the new senior compliance manager in the office of the vice chancellor of research. She holds a master of jurisprudence (MJ) degree from Loyola University-Chicago and holds a master’s in nursing from Central Methodist University.

Eikermann served as the compliance officer at Phelps Health for six years. She served on Phelps Health’s institutional review board and developed compliance policy for the organization. She says she is looking forward to working with researchers at S&T, and she hopes to be a resource as well as a collaborator on projects as needed.

Eikermann will primarily manage compliance issues relating to:

• Conflict of interest
• Institutional Review Board
• Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
• Institutional Biosafety Committee
• Export controls
• Risk assessment, training and process development
  
  

She lives on a farm near Cuba, Missouri, with her husband, Lee. They have four children. Their youngest son, Wyatt, graduated from S&T in 2017.
