Timothy McDonell will join Missouri S&T as director of facilities operations on Wednesday, Sept. 1. He will oversee the university’s maintenance, custodial and groundskeeping crews.
McDonell comes to S&T from Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, where he served as director of facilities management. He previously worked for the state of Missouri for five years as a maintenance director and regional operations manager.
McDonell worked 26 years as a civil engineer in the United States Air Force in facilities management, as well as six years as the command functional manager and superintendent of facilities management for Headquarters Air Mobility Command.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Ashford University in San Diego. He also earned an associate’s degree in mechanical and electrical technology and holds professional manager certification, both from the Community College of the Air Force at the Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama.
