Missouri S&T’s provost’s office sent the following message to faculty on behalf of Missouri Online on July 13:

The University of Missouri System Office of eLearning was created to encourage significant enrollment growth in online programs across our four universities. Our office structure includes Missouri S&T global learning staff that you may have worked with previously, in addition to staff from Mizzou, UMKC and UMSL.

Missouri Online

After extensive research and work with Carnegie Dartlet, a higher education communications and marketing firm, our new name – Missouri Online – was officially launched in March 2021. This name initially signified the work our team is doing to promote 260+ online programs on online.missouri.edu. We are working toward a future where our other services are branded with the same name.

While you will see our new name, Missouri Online, paired with Office of eLearning, our support is not changing. Our team of instructional designers and developers, learning technologists, student services professionals, program coordinators and marketing specialists will continue to assist you.

Keep an eye out for our monthly systemwide email with updates and resources, and stay tuned for a streamlined faculty-focused website experience launching this fall.

One Canvas Migration

One of the most important recent updates from our office is regarding One Canvas. All campuses will begin offering courses in the new One Canvas instance beginning Fall 2021.

The One Canvas Migration FAQ will help answer questions you may have about this endeavor. Please log in at https://umsystem.instructure.com and start working on your fall course development. We’re here to help you with any additional questions – reach out to us at canvas@umsystem.edu or teachingtools.umsystem.edu.

Thank you,
