Lawson wins adsorption research award

Dr. Shane Lawson has won the 2021 Separations Division Graduate Student Research Award in the adsorption and ion exchange area from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). It is a highly competitive award with a global nomination pool. The award will be presented during the organization’s annual meeting in November in Boston.

Lawson earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from S&T in May. While a student, he conducted research in Dr. Fateme Rezaei’s group.
