Simone Waldon, human resources representative at Missouri S&T, is one of 13 College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) members selected to participate in the 2021-22 Wildfire program. The 12-month leadership development program is designed for early-career higher education human resources professionals.
Participants were selected based on their HR strengths and areas for development identified on the program application as well as their interest in and commitment to the program. Throughout the year-long experience, the participants can develop their professional skills through tailored learning experiences including mentorship, learning events and courses, and the completion of a project showcasing the insights they gain throughout the year.
Wildfire program facilitators include Mark Coldren, associate vice president for human resources at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York; Dr. David Blake, vice president for human resources at California Western School of Law; Sheraine Gilliam-Holmes, vice chancellor for organizational effectiveness and chief human capital officer at the University of North Texas System; Julie Boggs, director of member marketing and engagement at CUPA-HR; and Jasmine Weatherly, membership coordinator at CUPA-HR.
The Wildfire program is made possible with support from HigherEdJobs.
