Effective July 1, with the start of fiscal year 2022, the IT media services team will become part of the marketing and communications department. The change is intended to strengthen video production for external purposes, such as marketing, student recruitment and live video productions, while reducing duplication of services to campus.
“The addition of the media services team to our staff will benefit the university by combining and leveraging the video creation and production talents of both media services and marketing and communications,” says Andrew Careaga, chief marketing and communications officer. “I’m excited to welcome the media services team of Brian Fleagle, Seth Hodge and John Walnofer to the team, and I look forward to continuing our strong and positive working relationship.”
Video support for classrooms will remain a part of the IT learning environments team and will not be affected by this transition, says Brandon Hough, interim chief information officer.
The media services team offices will remain in the 800 Building on University Drive.
University departments interested in video services should continue to submit requests online for review and consideration.
