Four faculty complete Lumen Circles program

With funding from the University of Missouri System’s office of academic affairs, four S&T faculty completed the Lumen Circles program this spring.
The faculty are:
- Dr. Langtao Chen, assistant professor of business and information technology
- Dr. Mahelet Fikru, associate professor of economics
- Dr. William Gillis, assistant teaching professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering
- Dr. Risheng Wang, associate professor of chemistry.
Lumen Circles are professional development experiences that use virtual learning communities to connect faculty members with peers and help them hone their expertise as student-centered teachers. The program is grounded in evidence-based teaching practices and self-reflection.
