Missouri S&T’s COVID-19 Incident Command Team (ICT) has announced updated guidelines for in-person classes during the summer session, which begins Monday, June 7. These new guidelines align more closely with the latest direction from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and with campus guidelines for outdoor spaces, offices and conference rooms, and common areas.

Under the new guidelines, facial coverings will not be required in classrooms or labs if you are fully vaccinated. Social distancing will continue in classrooms, which have been configured to allow for social distancing. Social distancing is not required in other campus spaces, including common areas, offices, conference rooms or outdoors.

If you are not fully vaccinated, the ICT recommends that you protect yourself and others by continuing to wear a facial covering and practice social distancing. These are recommendations but not requirements.

No individual is required to disclose or provide proof of COVID-19 immunization.

Missouri S&T continues to encourage all unvaccinated individuals to become fully vaccinated as soon as possible. S&T’s goal is to achieve a vaccination rate of 85% or greater. For updates on vaccination opportunities, please visit S&T’s vaccination page
