Dr. Costas Tstatsoulis, vice chancellor for research and graduate studies, invites the campus community to attend a webinar titled “Roadmap to R1” at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6, via Zoom.

Tsatsoulis sent the following message to faculty:

“A year ago we embarked on a research strategic planning process we called ‘Research Roadmap.’ Despite the delays forced on the process by the pandemic, and the need to conduct meetings virtually, the process was a success.

“More than 100 of our faculty participated in the development of seven research constellations, the name given to the research areas to indicate their internal and external connections that form a research universe (The reports of the research constellations can be found at sponsoredprograms.mst.edu/resources/researchroadmapreports.)

“The Research Roadmap is the first step towards our goal of reaching R1 Carnegie Classification. Please join me on Thursday, May 6th at 1pm for my presentation “Roadmap to R1” where I will summarize the Research Roadmap results and also discuss additional steps we are taking towards our R1 goal. I hope to see all of you at the meeting.”
