Fleck has served S&T for more than 25 years. She joined Missouri S&T as a counselor in 1995 and earned her Ph.D. in psychology in 2000. She was promoted to assistant director in 2001 and director in 2008.
Fleck says she has enjoyed working with students, staff and faculty in a variety of roles. She is credited for transitioning from paper to electronic medical record documentation and expanding the group therapy service. She has received the Outstanding Staff Member Award from the Miner Alumni Association (in 1996 and again in 2000), ROTC’s Andy Yost Award in 2014, and the Greek Advisor of the Year Award in 2017. In 2019, she presented on mental health to the University of Missouri Board of Curators.
In lieu of gifts, Fleck would prefer donations to the Missouri S&T Student Emergency Fund (select “Student Emergency Fund (708740)” in the Designations section) or the Rolla Animal Shelter Capacity Fund (select “S.A.V.E. Rolla Area Animal Shelter Endowment Fund” in the Gift Designation section).
