Dr. Francisca Oboh-Ikuenobe, associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Engineering and Computing, is featured along with other notable female paleontologists in the exhibit “Daring to Dig: Women in American Paleontology.” Oboh-Ikuenobe is a professor of geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering.
The exhibit is hosted by the Paleontological Research Institution and Museum of the Earth in Ithaca, New York, and explores the achievements, adventures and discoveries made by women in American paleontology over the past few centuries. This exhibit also highlights the personal and societal challenges the pioneering scientists faced and examines their professional accomplishments in the broader context of the history of paleontology as a scientific discipline in the United States.
