Cuba Plain, interim vice chancellor for finance and operations since September 2017, will retire from S&T effective June 3 following a 39-year career with the University of Missouri System.
“Cuba has been an exemplary leader and chief financial officer for S&T. She has effectively guided our university during some very tumultuous and challenging years, and I am grateful for her service to our campus and to the entire system,” says S&T Chancellor Mo Dehghani. “She will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best on her retirement.”
Plain joined the UM System in 1982 and served as assistant vice president for budget planning and development prior to accepting the position at Missouri S&T. At S&T, she oversaw business services, facility services, fiscal services, human resource services, information technology and University Police.
A committee co-chaired by Dr. Kelly Homan, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, and Jeff Sheets, a Missouri S&T graduate and chair of the Board of Trustees Finance Committee, is reviewing applicants for the next vice chancellor for finance and operations.
