At the request of Chancellor Mo Dehghani, a committee of student, faculty and staff representatives has completed a review of the university’s equity resolution process following the departure of the former chief diversity officer, who also served as the Title IX coordinator. The committee reviewed cases from September 2019 through February 2021 and concluded that in each case, university policy was followed. The committee, chaired by Anitra Rivera, acting chief diversity officer and Title IX coordinator, reported the findings to Dehghani, interim Provost Steve Roberts and Faculty Senate President Steve Raper, associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering. The full report will be posted online soon on the Equity and Title IX website.
