Three Egyptologists created a project called “Playing in the Past” in which they play the Assassins Creed Origins game, set in Ptolemaic Egypt.

Dr. Kathleen Sheppard, associate professor of history and political science, works on the project with Gemma Renshaw, a Ph.D. student at Southampton University, and Dr. Chris Naunton, an Egyptologist, writer and broadcaster. Their last episode, which aired on April 8, is about ancient technology and craft. Learn more and get a schedule of the episodes in this article.
