Missouri S&T Mo Dehghani will present a virtual campus update to students, faculty and staff at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, via Zoom.

Dehghani will update the community on Missouri S&T’s progress toward key indicators of success such as student recruitment, student success, faculty development, research and entrepreneurship, physical infrastructure, and more. The chancellor’s vision for the university is to make S&T a “destination of choice” for students, faculty, researchers and staff.

“We want to recruit and retain faculty and students to Rolla who will ensure S&T’s excellence and contribute to the economic development of the region, state and country for the next 50 years and beyond,” Dehghani says.

Attendees will also hear an update on progress toward implementing the goals of S&T’s Kummer Institute for Student Success, Research and Economic Development, which was established through a $300 million gift from June and Fred Kummer. The couple’s vision is to elevate Missouri S&T, generate more interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees, and strengthen the regional and state economy. Fred Kummer is a 1955 civil engineering graduate of S&T and the founder of HBE Corp.

Dehghani will deliver his campus update as Missouri S&T continues its year-long 150th anniversary celebration. Learn more about S&T’s history and find details on 150 celebration events at 150.mst.edu.
