Missouri S&T Chancellor Mo Dehghani will present a talk titled “Leading in Uncertain Times: Lessons Learned from COVID-19” noon-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5. Get the Zoom link.

Leaders like Dehghani have faced unprecedented challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this session, Dehghani will discuss the principles of leadership that help him lead the university through this pandemic and he will share how these principles apply to other situations.

Dehghani has led our university as chancellor since August 2019. A mechanical engineer, he is a nationally prominent research and academic leader who has experience leading complex organizations and building collaborative teams. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University and completed a postdoctoral National Science Foundation (NSF) internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dehghani’s talk is the final presentation in the Global Learning Speaker Series. The series is hosted by global learning in collaboration with the vice chancellor for research and graduate studies, student diversity initiatives, the College of Arts, Sciences and Business, Research on Tap, and the College of Engineering and Computing.
