Student diversity initiatives will host a Celebrate Diversity Conference with daily sessions from Monday, April 26, through Friday, April 30.

Centering on the theme of “Fostering Community/Discovery, Belonging/Creation, and Inclusion/Innovation,” this conference will lead attendees to acknowledge the need of a shared sense of belonging for success, while embracing similarities and honoring differences in our common communities. Campus experts will facilitate open and collaborative learning experiences for everyone.

The schedule includes:

• Conference kickoff event, noon-1 p.m. Monday, April 26
• “Linguistic Bias” session, noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 27
• “Language and Gender” session, noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28
• “Pronouns” session, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 28
• “Writing and Bias” session, noon-1 p.m. Thursday, April 29
• “Safe Space” session, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29
• “Step Up for Diversity” session, noon-1 p.m. Friday, April 30
