Dr. Amy Belfi, assistant professor of psychological science, is a recipient of the 2020 Rising Star award from the Association for Psychological Science. The APS Rising Star designation recognizes outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their post-Ph.D. research careers.
An announcement will be made in the organization’s publication and on its website along with other new Rising Stars.
Belfi joined Missouri S&T in 2017, and her research in S&T’s Music Cognition and Aesthetics Lab examines how music influences people’s thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Previously, she was a postdoctoral associate in the department of psychology at NYU and earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa.
