Thimgan to discuss importance of sleep

Dr. Matt Thimgan, associate professor of biological sciences, will talk about how sleep has changed over the last century in a talk titled “The ABCs of Zzzzzz – The Importance of Sleep” noon-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, via Zoom. Register for the talk.

Along with diet and exercise, sleep is a critical pillar of health. Americans are getting less sleep due to work, technology, and increasing rates of sleep disorders.

The talk is part of the Global Learning Speaker Series. The series is hosted by global learning, in collaboration with the vice chancellor for research and graduate studies, student diversity initiatives, the College of Arts, Sciences and Business, Research on Tap, and the College of Engineering and Computing.
