Nominations are being accepted for the 2021 Woman of the Year Award and the Women’s Advocate Award. The winners will be recognized during the Woman of the Year virtual awards ceremony at noon Wednesday, April 21. Nominations are due by Wednesday, March 17.
Woman of the Year Award
This annual award recognizes female, full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty who serve as valuable role models for female students at Missouri S&T. Recipients contribute to the university through their research, scholarship, teaching and service.

Women’s Advocate Award
Do you know an employee who deserves recognition for fostering the inclusion, development and advancement of women on campus? The Dr. Elizabeth Cummins Women’s Advocate Award honors an S&T employee, regardless of gender or job title, who demonstrates commitment to women on campus through mentorship and advocacy.
The award is named in honor of Dr. Elizabeth Cummins, Missouri S&T’s first Woman of the Year and a professor emerita of English and technical communication.
